Over the past 13 years, Chabad of Longmont has seen a phenomenal expansion of our community. This blessing has brought along with it the challenge of managing the ever-growing responsibility to ensure that Chabad is a home away for every Jew. As we mark a #BarMitzvaYear for Chabad, this campaign aims to raise $90,000 in 38 hours will help secure the sustainability of Chabad’s future in 2020 and beyond.
Chabad of Longmont means many things to many people. To some it’s a Hebrew school & a youth center; to others it’s an adult education institute & women's Circle, a synagogue & a community center, or a friendship circle. To some it’s a place to receive financial help in times of crisis and a chaplaincy service. Indeed, there is little within the realm of outreach and education that is outside of the scope of this multidimensional cause. Together we can perform our own “Pre Chanukah Miracle” by building a stronger, more vibrant, Jewish Community!
Running an operation like Chabad of Longmont requires a major investment of time, energy, and capital. While our Rabbi Yakov & Shayna work tirelessly to ensure that no Jew is left behind, the day-to-day expenses of operating a Chabad center can be daunting. Rather than charging membership fees or exorbitant event prices, which could alienate some people, we rely on the generosity of the community that we serve. To that end, 3 generous donors will match dollar for dollar to our center, provided that it is matched by an equal donation from our community.
You can be a partner in everything we do to benefit the residents of Boulder County by contributing to our Bar Mitzvah year end campaign, and by spreading the word.
