Many groups and individuals worked hard and contributed a lot to the various dimensions of the rescue and relief efforts following these flash floods. The Jewish community has been blessed by the generosity of our brethren all over the world. Major Jewish organizations have played an important role in those efforts as well. The worldwide Chabad Lubavitch Movement is utilizing the power if its network of thousands of centers around the globe, to come to the aid of the Jewish community. Spurred by the burning love for their fellow Jews implanted within them by the Rebbe, Chabad Shluchim and members rose to the occasion and are helping hundreds of people in a very real way. There are many layers to this heroic story that will never be told because they occurred in an unassuming manner.

Through the acts of goodness and kindness a light shines through the thick blanket of darkness that was drapes over the area.
