High Holidays with Chabad Jewish Center of Longmont
Whether your background in Jewish prayer is extensive or limited, our Hebrew/English prayer books and running explanations keep you on the page from start to finish.
No membership required, just a simple reservation. Services close with a Kiddush buffet, so there is time to sit and catch up before you head home.
Schedule of Services
Every service across Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, with the children’s programs, Tashlich and the break-fast.
Rosh Hashanah Community Dinner
Pull up a chair for the first night. Our community dinner opens Rosh Hashanah at one long table, with four courses of brisket, round challah and apples dipped in honey. Come on your own or bring the whole family. It is the easiest night of the year to walk in not knowing anyone, and you will not leave that way.
Tashlich & Shofar
Rosh Hashanah moves outdoors on Sunday. We walk down to Creekside Park to say Tashlich at the edge of the water, shake out our pockets and send the old year off with the current. The shofar is sounded there too, in the open air. Short, easy to bring people to, and the best part of the day for kids.
High Holiday Guide
How-to guides, essays, videos and audio, covering everything from the sound of the shofar to the close of the fast. Good for a first look or a closer read.
